York City manager Gary Mills has completed a busy transfer deadline day by signing experienced midfielder Scott Kerr.
The 29-year-old has been released by League Two strugglers Lincoln City and agreed an eighteen-month deal at Bootham Crescent. He will be eligible for tomorrow evening’s visit of Blue Square Premier leaders AFC Wimbledon.
England ‘C’ international Kerr has more than 300 senior appearances to his credit and also had spells with Scarborough, Frickley Athletic (loan), Hull City and Bradford City.
Earlier in the day Mills snapped up ex-Leeds United right-back Liam Darville whilst allowing both Jamal Fyfield (Maidenhead United) and George Purcell (Eastbourne Borough) to go out on loan.
