Striker back out on loan

York City striker George Purcell has joined Eastbourne Borough on loan until the end of the season.

The 22-year-old moved to Bootham Crescent from Braintree Town last summer but has struggled since suffering an early injury against Grimsby Town.

He was then sent out on loan to Dartford for a couple of months but his opportunities were limited by the cold weather snap.

Purcell is still contracted with the Minstermen until the end of next season.
