York City Futsal slipped to a 2-0 defeat at Oxford City Lions in their latest National Super League fixture.

The Minstermen were unable to build upon last weekend’s impressive 6-3 triumph against the previously unbeaten FC Salisbury United at the York Sport Arena.

The result witnesses them being overtaken by their latest opponents but still in mid-table with six points accumulated from their opening four games.

Elsewhere, leaders Reading Escolla recorded a fifth straight victory – 4-2 at Manchester, with fellow title challengers London Helvecia comprehensively overcoming Birmingham 8-2.

Meanwhile, Loughborough moved off the bottom of the table after hammering visitors Tranmere Rovers 9-3.

Salisbury recovered from their York defeat by winning 6-4 at London Genesis, with London City drawing 3-3 at home to Cambridge United.
