York City Ladies are into their third successive North Riding Senior Cup final after Alice Turner scored a second-half hat-trick in a 3-0 victory at neighbours Poppleton.
That was enough to secure the current holders of the trophy an eleventh final appearance in thirteen years and with still the opportunity of completing a hat-trick of recent triumphs.
Player of the game Turner, who was a member of City’s reserve side that lost on penalties to their own first-team in last year’s showpiece, was only promoted to the senior ranks at the start of the campaign.

Alice in Wonderland! – Striker Alice Turner claimed a second-half hat-trick
She responded by scoring twice during the crucial 5-2 victory at Castleford White Rose in November as the visitors claimed a first league success of the season.
The Minsterbelles will take on Redcar Town in the final after they accounted for Boro Rangers 2-0.
Elsewhere, Norton & Stockton Ancients triumphed 4-2 in their top-of-the-table league clash at Durham Cestria. Nyci Thomas scored twice for the visitors alongside Vicki Burton and Kate McSorley.
Meanwhile, Hartlepool United strengthened their top-three claims with a comprehensive 7-2 victory at Wallsend BC. Lucy Hammond-Garrington (2), Jenni Duffy-Smith (2), Jade Pye, Caitlin Bates and Faye Garside with their goals.
But Wakefield remain in trouble at the bottom of the table following their narrow 4-5 home defeat to RACA Tynedale.
