The Minstermen are growing in confidence according to winger Peter Till, who recorded his third goal for them at the weekend since his recent arrival from Walsall.

Till celebrated his 25th birthday last week, but had to initially wait to secure a first-team place at Bootham Crescent. He helped his chances by scoring as a substitute at Bath City and has since followed it during starts against Rushden & Diamonds and most recently Wrexham.

“This is another game we should have won, we had the chances,” Till told BBC Radio York. “The boys are confident and it’s growing game on game. Barrow at home, we should have beaten them as well and the performances at home have been good.

“The performances are getting better, barring the defeat against Fleetwood which was a disaster,” he continued. “The gaffer [Martin Foyle] has said in the press that he wanted to build on the away form. I think this is a good point, but to be disappointed with a point shows we are improving, we are getting there and we can kick on next week against Hayes.”
