York City’s weekend visit to AFC Telford United must be considered in major doubt after snow covered the pitch at the New Bucks Head.
With freezing temperatures again forecast over the weekend, the hosts have already called for volunteers to help clear the playing surface on Saturday morning.
“We have decided to move the time forward from 9am to 8am tomorrow morning for any volunteers who are able to help at the club,” they announced.
“Anyone with snow shovels, spades or any snow moving equipment please could you bring it along with you. Thank you in advance for your help.”
However, further icy conditions are predicted for this evening.
