The 26-year-old Grenadian international totalled thirteen appearances on loan for the Steelmen, who comfortably defeated Glasgow Rangers over two legs in their play-off final at the weekend. Straker is still contracted to York for next term.
Rumoured City target George Long is another departing Fir Park following his loan stay from Sheffield United, in addition to long-term servants Bob McHugh and Stuart Carswell; plus Simon Ramsden, Paul Lawson, Iain Vigurs, Zaine Francis-Angol, Fraser Kerr, Ross Stewart and Scott McDonald, together with loanees Mark O’Brien, Louis Laing, Nathan Thomas and Conor Grant.
“Some of the lads who arrived during January/February certainly impressed and aided in our league survival, and we would be keen to keep them on,” manager Ian Baraclough told Motherwell’s official website. “However, we still need to have a conversation with either the individuals or their parent clubs to see what is possible.”
