York City’s reserves conceded a last-minute goal in a 2-1 defeat to Morecambe at Kendal Town FC on Tuesday afternoon.
The visitors sent out a particularly young side containing predominantly youth-teamers, with only three players – Clovis Kamdjo, Raul Correia and Flynn McNaughton – boasting any senior experience.
But they were ahead at the interval courtesy of Nathan Dyer finding the net after exchanging passes with recent senior debutant McNaughton.
However, Lamin Jagne drew their opponents back level early in the second period, before substitute Kaleb Young grabbed a winner in the final minute.
