York City take their pre-season preparations to Quorn FC and the Farley Way Stadium near Loughborough this weekend.

“Nobody should read anything into who started against Sunderland and who did not” – Gary Mills

The Minstermen will be looking to continue the progress shown during their narrow 2-1 defeat to Premier League Sunderland against their Evo-Stick Division One hosts.

Manager Gary Mills will almost certainly give his full squad an opportunity again with the notable exception of the currently sidelined David McDermott.

And he was quick to state that no decisions have yet been reached regarding his starting eleven for the big kick-off at Ebbsfleet United next month.

“Everybody in the squad has a chance of starting at Ebbsfleet on August 13,” Mills assured The Press. “Nobody should read anything into who started against Sunderland and who did not.”

Following Quorn, York then have successive away games at Grantham Town on Tuesday and Billingham Synthonia next Saturday.

They also go to FC Halifax Town in between successive home clashes with Hartlepool United and Bolton Wanderers.
