Released York City midfielder Neil Barrett is on trial at Blue Square Bet Premier title rivals Luton Town.

Barrett appeared for the opening half as the Hatters got their pre-season programme off to a winning start with a 4-2 victory at Hitchin Town.

But the visitors had to come from two-goals behind with latest signings Aaron O’Connor and Dean Beckwith within their ranks.

They managed to do so and Amari Morgan-Smith (pen), trialist Drewe Broughton (2) and Matthew Barnes-Homer finally turned the contest around in their favour.
