Former York City centre-back Keith Lowe was celebrating a league title and an individual triple award at the weekend.

The 32-year-old has enjoyed a memorable time while helping Macclesfield Town towards the National League title and reclaiming their Football League place following a six-year absence.

Lowe has been a virtual ever-present for the Silkmen this term having arrived from Kidderminster Harriers in June 2017.

And that has seen him crowned as their players’ player of the season, while also collecting a couple of supporters’ group awards.

He made 101 appearances and scored eight times for York, until leaving them by mutual consent in December 2015,

That followed earlier spells with Cheltenham Town, Hereford United and Wolverhampton Wanderers.
