York City Fans Darts Tournament

The 6th annual York City Fans Darts Tournament, organised by York Minstermen, will take place in the York City FC Social Club on Saturday 29th May.

Last season’s champion, Phil Chapman, has already confirmed his entry and is looking forward to defending his title. We hope that many regular and new entrants will step up to the oche to challenge Phil.

If you would like to enter, please don’t delay, as places are limited.

Entry costs £5 per person. Cash or cheques (payable to York Minstermen) should be sent to Ian Tyssen, York Minstermen, c/o York City Football Club, Bootham Crescent, York, YO30 7AQ or handed in to the Supporters Office, next to the Club Shop, on matchday.

All entry fees must be paid in advance of the tournament.

Although there will be impressive York City related prizes for the champion, including hospitality tickets for a York City game, Beer Festival tickets and merchandise (some signed), we would like to maintain the friendly spirit of the tournament. For many of the entrants, the social aspect is more important than winning or losing.

The schedule for the tournament is as follows …

12pm – Social Club opens

1.30pm – Player registration

2pm – Group stages

6pm – Buffet

6.30pm – Quarter Finals, Semi Finals and Final

8.30pm – Presentations

The draw for the group stages will take place at the York Minstermen AGM, a few days before the tournament.
