York City Ladies secured a hugely significant 4-1 victory against RACA Tynedale Ladies to move themselves seven points clear of the bottom two clubs in the North East Regional Premier League.
The Minsterbelles are now unbeaten in their last three games having previously defeated Boldon CA Villa in the League Cup while also drawing against league rivals Farsley Celtic.
Striker Lucy Lendhill scored twice for the second consecutive game after netting both against visitors Boldon a fortnight ago.
Meanwhile, there were first senior goals for former reserve pair Anna Whitehead and Lindsay Jordan following their recent promotion into the senior ranks.

Skipper Kayleigh Davis was named as player of the game for the Belles, who also welcomed back regular midfielder Beth Clayton after being sidelined by injury.
Megan Watson struck the consolation goal for their opponents, narrow 1-0 winners in the earlier meeting of the sides back in October.
Elsewhere, Norton & Stockton Ancients stormed to a 9-1 victory at Castleford White Rose, who now have only three league games remaining.
Nyci Thorns scored four times for the visitors, substitute Shannon Reed grabbed a hat-trick and Anna Mawston claimed a brace as they moved back into second place.

Otherwise, bottom-of-the-table Wakefield’s scheduled trip to Farsley Celtic was unfortunately postponed.
Struggling Wakefield therefore remain without a league victory this season and are currently due to be City’s next visitors this coming weekend.
The leading two clubs are also meeting as Norton & Stockton host title rivals Durham Cestria, while Wallsend BC entertain Farsley in the only other game taking place.
