York City manager Gary Mills has reacted to the weekend defensive debacle by signing former Leeds United right-back Liam Darville until the end of the season.

The 20-year-old previously impressed during a number of pre-season friendlies at Bootham Crescent and has since appeared nine times on loan at League One side Tranmere Rovers.

He could be given an early debut when York take on current leaders AFC Wimbledon on Tuesday night.
