New striker Jordan Burrow is ready to give everything in order to achieve success with York City after joining from National League club Gateshead.

The 25-year-old Sheffield-born goalscorer already has previous spells with Morecambe, Stevenage, Lincoln City and FC Halifax Town, whom he helped to FA Trophy final success a couple of years ago while alongside current York defender Hamza Bencherif.

“I’m really happy to be here and the size of the club speaks for itself,” Burrow told York’s official YouTube channel. “It was a big factor in me coming here. It’s a well-supported club, so I’m looking forward to getting the boots on and getting out here.

“Martin [Gray] was keen to get me in and that was another factor in me wanting to sign,” he continued. “Basically from me you’re going to get 100% effort – that’s a guarantee. I’m going to give it everything that I’ve got in order to be successful for this football club.”
