York City’s Regional Talent Club were hailing another of their discoveries after Milly Ash, 16,  made her senior debut for Guiseley Vixens at the weekend.

The teenager was handed a first opportunity for the Women’s Premier League North strugglers for their home game against Nottingham Forest Ladies on Sunday.

Bottom-of-the-table Vixens had previously managed just a couple of victories from their opening seventeen league games, but responded with a comprehensive 6-0 triumph over their visitors to maintain hopes of escaping the drop.

Nikki Berko was their star performer with an individual five goals after Emily Heckler had opened the scoring, while young prospect Ash was introduced from the bench at the start of the second-half with her side already four goals  ahead.

Guiseley currently operate at the third tier of the women’s game, which is a couple of divisions higher than York City Ladies in the North East Regional Premier League.
